clásico y sereno
melancólicamente infinito
El oleaje dispersa los relojes
Regresan sueños de su modorra
Pez fiera y pequeños peces de colores
El mar homérico, el mar de los piratas
el de los buques de guerra. El mar
de los sonrientes bañistas, el mar en un acuario
El mar de Ungaretti, descolorido y muerto
Sin ti, Fa pietá anche il mare
Odisea de mares
naufragios, historias
olas fracasando
Y una orilla es el puerto

The horizon
calm, endless, and
tinged with melancholy.
The waves scatter the clocks.
Dreams return from their slumber.
Fierce fish and small colorful fish.
The Homeric Sea, the sea of pirates,
the sea of warships. The sea
of smiling bathers, the sea in an aquarium.
The sea of Ungaretti, faded and dead.
Without you, Fa pietá anche il mare.
Odyssey of seas,
shipwrecks, stories,
waves crashing.
And a shore is the port.

Por querer tocar la tierra firme
o una endeble rama
Por el simple gusto
de mirar a los ojos
otro ser
Dejé el aire abandoné
mi estable elemento
Tanto riesgo
para sentir
el mundo
un instante

el sol recoge
los enseres del día
tiende su manto sobre el crepúsculo
aguarda a los comensales del sueño
una anónima silueta
interrumpe la velada
y los deja sin conocer
el desenlace final

the day's belongings
spreads its cloak over twilight
awaits the sleepers
an anonymous silhouette
interrupts the evening
and leaves them without knowing
the outcome
